How to Reach COF by Air:
Agartala Airport (IATA: IXA, ICAO: VEAT) is a domestic airport located 12 km (6.5 nautical miles) northwest of the city of Agartala, the capital of the state of Tripura in India. It is administered by the Airports Authority of India(AAI). It is the 2nd busiest airport in northeast India after Guwahati and is proposed to be upgraded as an International Airport. A modern Air Traffic Control tower is being set up for the purpose The state capital, Agartala is well connected by air with Kolkata, Guwahati, Delhi and Chennai. A flight from Guwahati or Kolkata takes about 50 minutes to reach Agartala.
How to Reach COF by Train:
Tripura has already entered the broad gauge railway map of the country . The total length of Rail line within the state is 202.76 km including the recently extended line upto Udaipur railway station, Gomati District. Agartala is connected with important junctions like Guwahati, New JalpaiGuri, Sealdah and Anand Vihar at New Delhi by some express train like Tripura Sundari Express, Kanchanjangha Express and also other important places of the country. Apart from passenger trains, goods trains ply upto Agartala and Udaipur. Some local trains also run in between Udaipur and Dharmanagar. Agartala railway station at Badharghat is the main junction of the state. Passenger Reservation System (PRS) is available at Agartala, Udaipur and Dharmanagar. Unreserved Ticketing System (UTS) is functional in all stations except Mungiakami.
How to Reach COF by Road:
Tripura is also connected by road with Guwahati via Shillong by national highway no. 44. It takes about 24 hours by road from Guwahati to reach Agartala. Good luxury coaches, both of private travel agencies and public sector Transport Corporation including tourist cabs, jeeps, and small segment cars of all the major automobile companies ply on this road. Agartala is 1645 kms from Kolkata, 587 kms from Guwahati, 487 kms from Shillong and 250 kms from Silchar.
