EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE
The Executive Committee with 6 Members was constituted for BIFBTBI project, as per the guidelines of the project sanction order with the approved by the Honorable Vice Chancellor, CAU, Imphal. The Dean, CoF and Chairman of the Executive Committee as per terms of reference of the project sanction order vide para 2.8 with respect to the responsibility assigned by the sponsoring agency of the project. The first Meeting of this committee was held on 30-08-2014. Four members (Serial number 1,2,3 & 4) of the committee were present in the meeting-

The agenda of the meeting were :-
» Presentation of the progress report by the Coordinator of the project
» Queries/replies on the presentation.
» Discussions.
» Suggestions / Recommendation of the committee.
» Visit to BIF Centre. The detailed discussion on progress of procurements of hardware and softwares, development of laboratories, utilization of facilities, ASFA database, organization of training programme, development of website and databases and activities proposed for the FY 2014-15 were held.
After discussions on the progress of the centre and about further increase in activities of centre, following recommendations were made :-
» The performance of the centre during period of review is good and the coordinator has taken all efforts for developing the centre.
» The training programmes proposed for 2014-15 in presentation should finalize date and circulate for getting trainees from all North East.
» Immediate action for getting registration and email id from DBT for developing the linkages with other BITISNET centres should be taken.
» Apply for NKN connectivity with proper justification.
» Immediate action for subscribing to online bioinformatics journal and pursuing the services like Delcon(DBT), Cera(ICAR) and other. services.
» Centre should generate fund from sources like collection of registration fee from Trainees and resource persons may requested to travel from budget available for north east in their parent institution.
» Dr. A.K. Roy, the Co-coordinator of the project should be invited during executive committee meetings if possible.
