From the Dean’s Desk

It is my great privilege to publish the first e-Newsletter Vol. 1 and Issue 1 of the college of Fisheries, Lembucherra. I express my sincere thanks and words of appreciation to the committed and thoughtful people involved in different activities of the college An extraordinary challenge is being faced worldwide due to the massive outbreak of the COVID-19 and the effects of the same on the educational landscape of this college is of no exception. The students of this college have shown tremendous resilience, restraint, and understanding during this challenging and stressful time. I am happy to note that the students of this college have been consistently performing better in AIEEA-PG and bagged the overall top positions in 2013, 2016 & 2019, and in the UPS category in 2020. In the SRF examination, 2020, three students of the disciplines of Fisheries Resource Management and Fish Genetics and Breeding bagged the first rank in different categories. It is my foremost prerogative to contribute to the progress of this college to a new height as well as continuing the legacy of this premiere fisheries educational institute in the country under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Anupam Mishra, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, Central Agricultural University (Imphal). I wish and expect that the college will yield many more successes and achievements with the cooperation of all staff and students in the days to come, which will, in turn, contribute to the progress of the entire NEH region of the country.
